15 20 25 30 35 arranged mounting heels. This mounting provides a desired and advantageous flexibility between the cab and the air duct and dampens vibrations and vibrations that can occur between the cab and the air duct.
This known mounting technique requires a plurality of manual operations as the mounting requires a plurality of bushings to be fitted between the cab body and the air duct.
As these are relatively large, bulky and not-so-easy-to-handle parts, it can be difficult and cramped to place the pin bolt dampers in the intended mounting heels.
This makes the assembly less ergonomic and the work becomes both time-consuming and strenuous and the manufacturing thus becomes less cost-effective.
In addition, damage to lacquered body surfaces or other mounting details with sensitive and smooth / fine surfaces easily occurs when placing and tightening the pin bolt dampers, as these are metal pin bolts with sharp edges. Paint damage can easily occur and they can later lead to rust attack. Destroyed, scratched and rusty metal surfaces are to be avoided. It also happens that the pin bolt dampers break during tightening, which further increases the risks of damaging and destroying nearby surfaces.
Corresponding problems naturally arise if the air duct for some reason needs to be dismantled and replaced, e.g. if it has suffered external mechanical damage.
Prior art does not show any effective rubber bushing that enables a simple and quick assembly, which reduces the risk of paint damage and which at the same time reduces the ergonomic problems when assembling and disassembling larger parts. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems and to demonstrate a rubber bushing which enables a simple and quick assembly, which reduces the risk of paint damage and which at the same time reduces the ergonomic problems during assembly and disassembly.
A further object of the invention is that the rubber bushing should be able to be integrated in one of the parts to be mounted against each other so that the rubber bushing is retained in the correct position without special mounting measures.
A further object of the invention is that it should mean that fewer parts need to be kept in stock and handled at the production line, which speeds up production.
A further object of the invention is that it should be functional and durable and that the parts should be light and cost-effective to manufacture.
These and further objects and advantages are achieved according to the invention by a rubber bushing defined by the features stated in the characterizing part of the independent patent claim 1.
The invention is thus particularly intended for commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses and the like, but can of course also be used in the manufacture of other types of vehicles where there is a need for a rubber bushing that enables a simple and quick assembly, which reduces the risk of paint damage and which reduces the ergonomic problems during assembly and disassembly, such as, for example, passenger cars, construction machines, ships / boats, aircraft, etc. The invention is achieved by designing a bushing so that it can be easily cast into a structural part to be mounted, for example a plastic air duct to be mounted at a vehicle cab. Thus, no separate and often complicated assembly of individual rubber bushings is required, whereby these working steps are omitted.
Advantages of the construction according to the invention are that the rubber bushing becomes simple to manufacture and easy to integrate with other construction parts, which in turn results in a faster and cheaper final assembly. Because the rubber bushing can be made of rubber and plastic, the risk of scratching lacquered surfaces is radically reduced or eliminated.
The design of the rubber bushing can also be easily and optionally adapted to the current mounting or grouting needs that exist in the individual case. The rubber bushing according to the invention also has a relatively low weight.
A further advantage of the solution according to the invention is that it becomes simple and cheap to implement in the production since the bushing is already integrated in the manufacture of the construction parts. There will thus be fewer parts to handle in the manufacture of, for example, a vehicle.
Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following, more detailed description of the invention, and from the accompanying drawings and other claims.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention is described in more detail below in some preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows a view obliquely from behind of a part of a vehicle cab with an air duct, for high air intake, mounted on the right side of the rear wall of the cab. Figure 2 shows a part of the vehicle cab straight from the rear and where the air duct is mounted with rubber bushings according to the invention integrated with the air duct and its attachment points.
Figure 3 shows a rubber bushing according to the invention provided with a cylindrical center hole and a rubber body molded around it with an outer annular casting element with a broken / open outer edge.
Figure 4 shows a view of a rubber bushing according to figure 3.
Figure 5 shows an alternative embodiment of a rubber bushing according to the invention provided with an annular casting element whose outer edge is whole / closed.
Figure 6 shows a view of a rubber bushing according to figure 6.
Figure 7 shows a perspective view of a rubber bushing with occupied and continuous grooves in the outer edge of the casting element.
DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Figure 1 thus shows a perspective view of a part of a vehicle cab 1 where an air duct 2, made of a plastic material for supplying air to the vehicle's internal combustion engine, is mounted on the right side at the rear wall 3 of the cab. intake 4 is located at the top near the roof of the cab and is directed out of the cab 1 across the direction of travel of the vehicle. In order to create a certain mechanical flexibility between the air duct 2 and the cab 1, and to dampen vibrations between the cab 1 and the air duct 2, the air duct 2 is mounted to the wall 3 of the cab by means of the air duct 2 attachment points 5. According to prior art in these attachment points 5. 10 15 20 25 30 35 Figure 2 shows the vehicle cab 1 directly from behind where the air duct 2 and its attachment points 5 are clearer. In this case, four rubber bushings 6 according to the invention are used, which are integrated in the plastic material of the air duct 2 and more specifically in the protruding attachment points 5 at the side edges of the air duct.
Figure 3 shows a plan view of a rubber bushing according to the invention 6. In the central portion of the circularly shaped rubber body 7 is arranged, preferably molded, a through-hollow and hollow cylinder 8 whose center hole 9 is intended for a through-bolt (not shown). At the periphery of the rubber body 7, an outer annular casting element 10 is cast. The purpose of the casting element 10 is to be integrated with, cast into, and joined to the material in the construction detail for which the rubber bushing 6 is to be used, e.g. as here an air duct.
Casting element 10, the ring, can be designed in different ways and the purpose is that its shape should facilitate an efficient and strong connection with surrounding material which is preferably a plastic material. The casting element 10 in the figure is formed with two annular and concentric elements 10a, b of different diameters, one arranged outside the other. The annular elements 10a and 10b are joined together by means of connecting elements 11.
The outer annular element 10b is provided with recesses 12 which facilitate the attachment, the casting, in the construction detail in which the rubber bushing 6 is desired to be integrated. The concrete design of the casting element 10 that is most optimal depends on the surrounding material, which casting and forming process is applied, casting temperatures, etc.
In use, the rubber bushing 6 is thus firmly integrated with, and molded into, the structural part to be mounted, for example an air duct 2 of plastic, while the cylinder 8 arranged in the central part of the rubber bushing 6 is fastened to, for example, a vehicle cab 1 rear wall 3 by means of a through bolt (not shown).
The material in the cylinder 8 and in the casting element 10 must be durable and durable. A plastic is preferably used, but other materials can also be used such as a metal, for example magnesium, steel, aluminum or the like.
The shape of the casting element 10 can also be adapted to different ways of molding in the rubber bushing 6. When injection molding, one design may be preferred, while rotational molding means that better results are obtained with a different design.
Figure 4 shows a perspective view of a rubber bushing 6 according to figure 3. The rubber bushing 6 and the thickness of the casting element 10 in the axial direction can be adapted to the properties that are sought and needed in the individual case.
Figure 5 shows an alternative embodiment variant of a rubber bushing 6 according to the invention. In this case, the shape of the outer circular element 10c is completely closed.
Figure 6 shows a perspective view of the rubber bushing 6 according to the invention shown in figure 5. Here it appears that the outer annular element 10c is designed with a slightly smaller width in axial direction, which makes it easier to completely mold in the annular element 10c in surrounding material. Thus, the outer annular element 10c is not visible in the finished cast condition. A higher strength is also achieved in this way.
Figure 7 finally shows a perspective view of a rubber bushing 6 according to the invention with occupied grooves 13 in the outer casting element 10d. These grooves 13 contribute to an effective integration with the surrounding material and provide a more durable and stronger anchoring of the rubber bushing 6.
The description above is primarily intended to facilitate the understanding of the invention and is of course not limited to the stated embodiments, but also other variants of the invention are possible and conceivable within the scope of the inventive concept and the scope of subsequent claims. Thus, it is conceivable that the rubber bushing 6 instead of a cylindrical center heel 9 intended for a through-going bolt is provided with a central pin bolt cast against the rubber body 7, directed outwards from the rubber bushing 6 in one direction. This can be beneficial in some applications.
